Ana’s birth name was Ana María Polo González, when she was born in 1959 on the 11th of April. She was the first-born child to her mother, Delia Polo, and father, Jaoquin Polo. Her birthplace was in Havana in the Cuban countryside. We do not have clear information about her siblings.
Ana, along with her parents, stayed in Havana until she was two years old. After which, they moved to Miami, Florida, USA. When she was about 12 years old, the family moved back again to Puerto Rico, USA. It was in Puerto Rico that Ana received her elementary education as well as graduated from there.
