Claudia Valdez was born in San Antonio, Texas on May 29th 1998 to two loving parents, John and Jessica Valdez. She grew up with her parents and her younger sister at their home on the outskirts of San Antonio. Throughout her life she was always surrounded by animals which prompted her to start advocating for them since the age of 19.
She first became interested in animal advocacy when she was just 10 years old after watching Dog Whisperer on Animal Planet with her family.
She then started associating herself with animal charities that were actively fundraising for animals including Pets Alive, Home For Our Little Friends, and Wayward Paws Rescue. At 25 years old she finally decided to take the plunge and start Claudia’s Cat Rescue of her own.
Since starting her nonprofit, Claudia has worked with multiple animal rescue organizations all over the world to help save 6500 cats from being euthanized. She manages this without any paid staff or assistance. All of the money that Claudia’s Cat Rescue receives goes directly to the animals living in their care.
